Systems
Technologies that reduce cost, and the conditions under which they are combined.
GX Cogen is appointed for generation, storage, efficiency or carbon measurement on its own, or for a plant that combines them. The contract can cover feasibility, design, installation, operations, energy as a service, or a defined scope between those.

GX Cogen designs rooftop, ground-mount, carport and vertical photovoltaic plants, and combined heat and power where the site has a sustained thermal load. Output is matched to the load profile and the tariff, so the energy produced has a use on the site and a value in the operating account.
Solar PV
Rooftop, ground-mount, carport and vertical arrays. Yield is calculated from the site resource and the hours the load is present.
Hybrid plant
Generation, the point of connection and any storage are designed together, so export limits and backup requirements are in the single-line diagram.
Heat and power
Where process heat or hot water is a material cost, cogeneration or heat recovery is assessed against the electrical case in the same study.

Work at each stage.
The same delivery stages apply to a single technology and to a combined plant. A client contracts the cells that are in scope.
| Practice | Study | Design | Build | Operate | Finance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Generation | Resource and yield | Array, heat, connection | Civils and electrical | Performance ratio | Energy offtake |
| Energy storage | Duty cycle and tariff | Chemistry and housing | Install and commission | Dispatch, degradation | Capacity or tariff value |
| Energy efficiency | Baseline consumption | Measures and M&V | Retrofits and controls | Persistence of savings | Shared savings |
| Carbon technology | Boundary and baseline | MRV design | Meters and data path | Ongoing record | Results-based capital |
How the investment is protected.
- Generation capacity is calculated from interval data and the tariff, after the cost and saving of efficiency measures have been estimated.
- Storage technology is selected from the required hours, cycle life, site temperature and maintenance access.
- Carbon revenue is included in the financial model only when the boundary, the metering and the methodology are defined and can be reviewed.
Provide the site location, a recent bill or load record, and the outcome you need. GX Cogen will identify which technologies improve the result and which should stay out of the capital budget.
